About Me
Me in 1997
“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
I can think of no other quote that better embodies who I fundamentally am than that quote from Winston Churchill.
My story begins in 1986, in Los Angeles, California.
I was fortunate to grow-up in a time when optimism was considered a virtue, not a vice. My parents took great care to raise my sister and I in an environment of unconditional love.
That foundation of unconditional love has made it possible for me to accomplish numerous things that I never imagined would be in the cards for me.
My childhood was filled with possibility and struggles that helped shape me into who I am today.
Looking back, I would not change a single thing. Every challenging moment had a purpose. Los Angeles was the perfect place for me to hone my skills in the music and events industries.
I spent over a decade working at the heart of the music industry in Los Angeles and managed to leave a mark that is still remembered today.
You can view my Past Projects for more details regarding my time working in the music industry and what I have done since then.
For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with the concept of bringing people together.
There's something truly magical about connecting people who otherwise may never have met and watching the synergy that can often come from that.
When it’s done right, it can be pure magic.
This obsession drove me to produce hundreds of concerts and one of the largest music festivals in California, as well as numerous other events.
While I expect I will always have some involvement in the music industry, my focus in my 30’s and beyond has largely shifted to civil and human rights work.
I am incredibly grateful to have the life that I have. And I hope to be able to spend the rest of it doing meaningful work.
Life goes fast.
As J.M. Barrie famously wrote: Time is chasing after all of us.
